The Vegas heat angle
Hot weather affects new plaster during start-up, and new pools need careful chemistry in their first weeks. Follow your builder's start-up instructions.
Repair or replace
Warranty first. Report issues to the pool builder in writing. If the warranty doesn't cover it, has expired or the builder is unresponsive, an independent contractor can diagnose it.

FAQ
Builder isn't responding. Now what?
Keep written records. You can still get an independent diagnosis, but check whether outside work affects your warranty first.
Is water loss normal in a new pool?
Evaporation is normal. Losing noticeably more than a bucket test shows is not. See the bucket test.
Who licenses pool builders in Nevada?
The Nevada State Contractors Board. Look up the license at nscb.nv.gov.
