Pool Heater & Chiller Repair in Las Vegas
In Vegas the same pool can feel too cold in March and too warm in August. Heaters, heat pumps and chillers handle both ends.
Signs it's failing
- Gas heater clicks but won't light
- Heat pump runs but the water won't change temperature
- Error codes such as flow, pressure or high-limit
- Chiller or cooling mode not bringing the temperature down
- Water leaking from the cabinet

The Vegas heat angle
Heat pumps and chillers move heat using outdoor air. In extreme summer heat a chiller is working hard against hot air, and coils caked with dust lose efficiency. Hard water scales up heat exchangers. See chiller basics and too-hot water options.
Repair or replace
Sensors, igniters, switches and fans are usually repairable. A leaking heat exchanger or a failed compressor on an older unit often leads to a repair-vs-replace quote. Ask for both.

FAQ
Why won't my heater fire?
Low flow from a dirty filter or a closed valve is a common cause. Beyond that it's typically the igniter, a sensor or the gas supply.
Can one unit heat and cool?
Some heat pumps have a reversing (heat/cool) feature. Check the model or ask a contractor.
I smell gas.
Turn it off, leave the area and call the gas utility or 911.
