Pool Leak Detection in Las Vegas
In the Vegas heat you're going to lose water to evaporation. A leak is different, and it won't fix itself.
Signs it's failing
- A bucket test shows the pool losing noticeably more than the bucket
- Autofill running all the time or a high water bill
- Wet or sinking ground near the pool or equipment
- Cracked plaster, loose tiles or a gap at the skimmer
- Air bubbles in the returns or the pump basket
The Vegas heat angle
Wind and dry air push evaporation up, so the Valley's dry, windy days make it hard to read losses. Test on a calm day. Southern Nevada also takes water conservation seriously: the Southern Nevada Water Authority and local water districts set watering and water-waste rules, so check current guidance before draining or refilling, and fix leaks rather than refilling indefinitely.
Repair or replace
Leaks at skimmers and light niches can often be sealed. Underground line leaks may need excavation for a spot repair. Shell cracks range from patchable to a resurfacing conversation. A good specialist shows you where the leak is.
